Alchemy Live bring to life the classic era of Dire Straits from the early 80s, playing hits including Sultans of Swing, Money for Nothing, Tunnel of Love, Romeo and Juliet, Brothers In Arms and many more.
The band, fronted by authentic-sounding vocalist and superb guitarist Martin Ledger, are united by a common love of the music of Mark Knopfler and recreate his trademark sound as accurately as possible with a painstaking attention to detail.
Collectively the band members have shared stages worldwide with legends such as Mike Rutherford, Mick Hucknell, Roger Taylor and more – these are SERIOUS musicians!
Alchemy Live are all about the music, no lookalike competitions here as they faithfully recreate the Dire Straits sound & feel, with each song a re-enactment of a specific performance by the original band.
As the name suggests, many of the song versions are taken from the multi-platinum selling double live album Alchemy Live, generally recognised as one of the best live albums ever recorded.
