King King are a band at the top of their game with more than a few reviewers listing them among the finest blues-rock outfits on the planet.
High praise indeed and right on the money we reckon with a string of sold recent tours that tells its own story.
The addition of irrepressible leader Alan Nimmo’s brother Stevie on second guitar and vocals has added a breath of fresh air and a new dimension to the band and brings an extra edge that is the envy of many of their peers.
Added to the already stunning line up of Jonny Dyke (keys), and fellow Scots Andrew Scott (drums) and Zander Greenshields (bass), the mighty King King sound is arguably the best it ever has. And that’s saying a lot, by the way.
Expect a joyous, anthemic, beast of a show – full of catchy choruses, stomping beats and peppered liberally with Alan Nimmo’s trademark infectious grin. Sure, they can do epic, but they can also slow it down to soulful and mellow to keep things interesting.
So… if you want a night of superbly crafted blue rock anthems delivered with passion, energy and an over-riding sense of joy, then you know what to do. But don’t hang around – this one is well on its way to selling out already.
Support comes from Arielle – all the way from Austin, Texas.
